# Setting up payouts

CaseBench pays you through Stripe, a secure payments provider. **Clients can't assign you jobs until your payouts are set up**, so do this early.

Watch the video guide to set up your Stripe payouts.

## Set up your payout account

1. Go to **Account**, then **Billing**.
2. Follow the Stripe steps to add your business details and bank account.
3. Stripe verifies your details. Your status moves from **started** to **details submitted** to **payouts enabled**.

You're ready to be assigned work once your status shows payouts enabled.

## Who can manage payouts

Only your organization's **Owner** can set up and manage payouts. This protects your bank details from changes by other team members.

## Managing payouts later

Once Stripe has your details, the Billing page lets you:

* See your Stripe balance and payout history.
* Add or replace the bank account your payouts go to.
* Choose an automatic or manual payout schedule. Automatic is the default. With manual, you choose when to pay yourself out.

Instant payouts aren't available.

## Why Stripe asks for a code

Stripe sometimes sends a one-time code before showing or changing your payout details. It's a security check that stops anyone else from redirecting your money, not an error.
