# Production and shipping updates

If you manufacture, you move each job through production on the job page. Every update you make is visible to the client.

## Production steps

| Step                               | What you click          |
| ---------------------------------- | ----------------------- |
| Files are ready and you start work | **Start Production**    |
| Something is wrong with the files  | **Report Issue**        |
| The issue is fixed                 | **Resume Production**   |
| Production is finished             | **Complete Production** |
| The order has gone out             | **Mark as Shipped**     |

When you mark a job as shipped, add the tracking number, the carrier and any shipping notes, so the client can follow the delivery.

## Getting paid

Your payment is released when the client confirms delivery. If they don't, it's released automatically. See [When you get paid](/help/provider-guide/when-you-get-paid.md) for the timing.
