# Accepting a job

You're only notified about a job once the client has paid for it, so every job waiting for you is funded.

## Accept or ask first

Open the job from **Jobs**. While it's waiting for you, the job page shows two options:

* **Accept Job:** you commit to the work and the job moves to **In Progress**.
* **Request Clarification:** ask the client a question before you commit. See [Asking the client a question](/help/provider-guide/asking-the-client-a-question.md).

If you've asked a question, **Review Clarification** appears once the client answers.

## The turnaround clock

The job's due date starts counting once you've accepted. The clock runs while you're working and pauses while it's the client's turn, for example while they review your delivery. The job page shows whether you're on track, due soon or overdue.

If you can't take on a job, contact us at <hello@casebench.io>.
